Give Back a MINT

Here at THE MINT, we believe in the reduce, reuse, recycle and refashion philosophy. We strive to be a responsible member of our community by educating others on the little ways they can reduce their carbon footprint.

One of those ways is to bring your own shopping bag or refuse to use one of ours. When you do, THE MINT will donate 10 cents to a local charity or project.

THE MINT donates regularly to the following charities:

Animal Rescue Volunteers

Animal Rescue Volunteers “Animal Rescue Volunteers (ARV), Inc. is a non-profit organization that began in 1994. We are volunteers who love animals and wish to make a difference. ARV is a well respected, long-standing organization that provides this service to the Simi Valley Community as well as the larger Ventura and Los Angeles County areas.” -From ARV’s website.

 

 

Preserve Bottle Village

 Grandma Prisbrey bottle village“This folk art environment is the single handed work of self taught senior citizen Tressa “Grandma ” Prisbrey. THE MINT also donates to the Breast Cancer Society, local food bank, fundraising projects for local Simi Valley schools and non-profits, Goodwill and the Battered Women’s Shelter of Ventura County.
